A bomb-laden vehicle detonated in Syrian opposition-controlled Jarabulus, leaving one fighter dead, local sources said.

A car loaded with explosives from YPG/PKK-controlled Manbij was headed to the Turkish backed Free Syrian Army (FSA) Jarabulus --located in the Euphrates Shield Operation area.

FSA security units told Anadolu Agency that the attack was likely carried out by YPG/PKK terrorists.

Jarabulus was cleared of terrorists in 2016 as part of the Turkey-led Operation Euphrates Shield.

Last month, five FSA bomb-disposal experts were killed in another car bomb that came to the city from the YPG/PKK-controlled Manbij.

Since 2016, Turkey's Euphrates Shield and Olive Branch operations in northwestern Syria have liberated the region of YPG/PKK and Daesh terrorists, making it possible for Syrians who fled violence there to return home.
