Ankara and Tokyo are willing to further strengthen bilateral relations, Turkey's foreign minister said on Monday.
"There is more enthusiasm and willingness on both sides than ever to strengthen bilateral relations and boost solidarity on regional issues," Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu said at a reception at Turkey's Embassy to Japan.
Çavuşoğlu said has he has had productive meetings with Japanese officials during his three-day visit to Japan, currently on day two.
Earlier Monday, Çavuşoğlu met his Japanese counterpart Taro Kono, and they discussed bilateral relations and regional issues.
