Turkish partners are fulfilling their obligation regarding the agreement with Russia on Syria's Idlib region, President Vladimir Putin said on Saturday.

He made the comments following a four-way summit on Syria with Germany's Angela Merkel, France's Emmanuel Macron and Turkey's Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

Putin also said Russia understands the process is not easy and it plans to continue cooperating.

"SYRIAN CONSTITUTIONAL COMMITTEE IS NECESSARY"
Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke in favour of forming a Syrian constitutional committee to determine the future of the war-torn state.

Such a body is indisputable and should be recognized as legitimate by all Syrian parties, he said.

Russia is a key ally of Bashar al-Assad in the Syrian civil war.
