President Erdoğan arrives in Moldovan capital

Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on Wednesday arrived in Moldova's capital Chisinau on his two-day official visit.

The president and the First Lady Emine Erdoğan were welcomed by their respective Moldovan counterparts Igor Dodon and Galina Dodon at the Chisinau airport.

Erdoğan is accompanied by Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar, Education Minister Ziya Selçuk, Transport and Infrastructure Minister Cahit Turhan and Youth and Sports Minister Mehmet Muharrem Kasapoğlu.

During his official visit, Erdoğan will meet Dodon and Prime Minister Pavel Filip and is due to be received by Irina Vlah, president of Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia (Gagauz-Gokoguz Yeri).

The meetings will see discussions on political, economic and security relations along with mutual regional and international issues, and terrorism.

Erdoğan will also attend a business forum and is expected to inaugurate one of the pre-schools that was supported by Turkey's Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB).
