Heavy rains, flood kill 19 in Ivory Coast

At least 19 people have been killed in Ivory Coast city of Abidjan due to a flood caused by heavy rains, local media reported.
According to local media reports, the heavy rains and flood in the western African country's largest city have also left 150 people injured.
A statement from National Civil Defense Bureau stated that the death toll increased due to the overflow of Laguna River, which divides the city of Abidjan into two.
The civil defense team continues to assist and try to save the injured and accompany them to the nearest hospital.
President Alassane Ouattara returned to his country after cutting short his official visit in Burkina Faso after receiving the reports of the disaster.
