Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) has delivered food in Libya and held a fast-breaking (iftar) dinner in Thailand as part of its aid campaign during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.

TIKA Libya Coordinator Fatih Karaca told Anadolu Agency on Thursday that the agency had provided food aid to Libya's Support and Development Fund which is linked to the UN-backed unity government.

The aid included 51 tons of food aid to be distributed to 1,500 families, Karaca said.

Support and Development Fund Board Chairman Mohammad Bekay said the aid would be distributed in the cities of Sebha and Ubari in southern Libya.

TIKA also hosted an iftar dinner for 300 people in Bang Uthit mosque in Thailand's capital Bangkok, TIKA said in a statement Thursday.

The statement also said TIKA funded the restoration of Bang Uthit mosque in 2015.
