Turkey's state-run aid body sent ambulances and equipment to a Muslim charity giving free-of-charge health services to the needy in southern Myanmar city of Yangon.
In a statement on Tuesday, Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) said they had sent medical equipment and ambulances to Mahar Mon Myat Setanar Charity.
Ahmet Tin Myint, a founding member of Mahar Mon Myat Setanar Charity said: "In the last few months, we were not able to meet medical demands with our existing fleet [of ambulances]. Now, we will be able help more people who are in need."
The charity has provided ambulance services to 800 patients in the last six months free-of-charge.
