Turkish forces killed five PKK terrorists Wednesday in the eastern Agri province, the governor's statement said.
An ongoing air-supported counterterrorism operation killed 5 PKK terrorists, according to the provincial governor's office.
Gendarme forces pinpointed the terrorist targets who were providing ammunitions and supplies in the Keci Tepe area south of Mount Tendurek.
The PKK -- listed as a terrorist organization also by the U.S. and the EU -- resumed its armed campaign against Turkey in July 2015. Since then, it has been responsible for the deaths of some 1,200 Turkish security personnel and civilians, including a number of women and children.
