U.S. COVID-19 cases surpass 5.69 million, death toll reaches 176,765

The total number of COVID-19 cases in the United States surpassed 5.69 million on sunday.

According to the center for systems science and engineering at Johns Hopkins University, the national case count rose to more than 5,699,000, with the death toll in the country reaching about 177,000.
