Operation Euphrates Shield began on 24th August. The ultimate aim was to eliminate Daesh terrorists along the Turkish border. The Turkish army and the free Syrian army fought against Daesh for 7 months and the operation was completed in March 2017. Daily lives of people returned to normal in the region following the elimination of Daesh terrorists.
