On Tuesday, U.S. President Donald Trump described the formal impeachment inquiry by Democratic members of the House of Representatives as a coup. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has also sternly objected to a move by the House of Representatives to obtain depositions from five current and former state department officials as part of an impeachment inquiry targeting Trump, accusing Democrats of bullying and intimidation.
