Tensions rise after US shoots down jet

Following the us shooting down a Syrian government fighter jet that dropped bombs on coalition forces, tensions between two superpowers are strained once again.Russia stated it will now treat U.S.-led coalition planes in Syria, west of the Euphrates as targets. The agreement for "de-confliction zones" cooperation with the U.S. in Syria is effectively suspended. The Russian Defense Ministry stated that "any aircraft in the sky and on the ground will be tracked by Russian anti-aircraft forces and treated as targets".Moscow accused washington of failing to use a pre-established communication channel to warn Moscow of the strike that downed the warplane, announcing it would drop the use of this channel.
