As Macedonians prepare for the most important vote in their nation's history, U.S. Defense Secretary Jim Mattis arrived in Macedonia with a warning that Russia was attempting to use its money and influence to build opposition to the upcoming referendum on changing the Balkan country's name and paving the way for the country to join NATO.
