Akıncı seeks further help from UN

President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Mustafa Akıncı, has called on the un to present a more helpful approach during Cyprus talks.

Akıncı attended a meeting in nicosia on tuesday alongside greek cypriot leader nikos anastasiades.

The Turkish Cypriot leader said the un should implement shuttle diplomacy between the two sides without resorting to official proposals or arbitration.

He asked the un to provide more assistance during reunification talks.

Akıncı also called out greek Cypriot natural gas exploration efforts in the East Mediterranean Sea, underlining that such finds would be common property for all Cypriots.
