Turkish armed forces have carried out a series of airstrikes against PKK terrorists in northern Iraq and northeastern Syria.
Anti-terror operations were launched in Iraq's Sinjar mountains to eliminate PKK terrorists and to prevent them from smuggling weapons and explosives into Turkey.
According to a statement by the Turkish military, "air strikes were carried out to destroy these terror hubs which threaten the security, unity and integrity of our country and our nation, within the scope of our rights based on international law."
