Istanbul adorned with 30 million tulips as part of 13th festival

Istanbulites flocked to parks and squares and most particularly Emirgan Park to mark the beginning of spring with many kinds of beautiful tulips in a myriad of colors. The festival is underway now and is set to run until the end of April.

Officials have started the necessary works as part of the 13th Tulip Festival in Istanbul. 30 million tulips in 125 different varieties have been planted in the parks, forests, squares and streets of the city.
