Jesse Jackson suffers from parkinson's

Long-time civil rights activist Rev. Jesse Jackson revealed Friday he has Parkinson's disease, a slow-moving ailment that progressively gets worse, and can ultimately end up totally restricting mobility.

Jackson, who was part of Rev. Martin Luther King's inner circle when he was assassinated in 1968, says he sought medical advice after noticing increasing difficulties in performing routine tasks.

He's run twice for the White House on the Democratic line, but has since faded from the political spotlight, continuing to focus on civil rights issues, like making Wall Street firms more racially diverse.
