Turkish police seized some 293.2 kilograms (646.3 pounds) of heroin in a truck in the country's east on Monday.
The Erzincan Governorate said in a website statement that anti-drug police stopped three trucks in the eastern province upon a tip-off that the suspected vehicles would carry smuggled materials to the western cities.
During the search assisted by a sniffer dog, police officers confiscated heroin stuffed in 431 packages hidden in the truck.
Three drivers were arrested for their suspected contacts with each other over the incident.
