Erdoğan holds phone calls with Saudi King Salman, Palestine's Abbas

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan late Thursday held phone conversations with Saudi Arabia's King Salman and Palestinian counterpart Mahmoud Abbas on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr.

According to the presidential sources, Erdoğan discussed regional and bilateral ties with Salman and Abbas during the phone calls and agreed to strengthen cooperation between the countries.

Erdoğan and Abbas also voiced their appreciation over the United Nations General Assembly's decision to condemn Israeli violence against Gazan protesters.

The Turkish president also reaffirmed his country's support for the rights of the Palestinian people.
