Deputy Prime Minister Bekir Bozdağ urged main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu to reveal the content of documents he said were proof of allegedly unlawful transactions involving President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. The Deputy prime minister said the CHP is part of "a large slander campaign against Turkey."

"There is a big campaign of slander against Turkey; the Gülenist Terror Group (FETÖ) and its U.S. sympathizers in the New York leg, and the CHP in the Turkey leg," Bozdağ told Anadolu Agency's Editor's Desk in Ankara.

He said Kılıçdaroğlu should reveal the content of the documents alleging wrongdoing by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to everyone in front of journalists, parliamentarians and on television instead of "waving the papers at the group meeting."

During his party's parliamentary meeting on Tuesday, the CHP leader revealed alleged documentation of money transactions worth millions of dollars made by Erdoğan's entourage to a bank account in an island.

Erdoğan rejected the allegations and vowed to resign if they could be proved.

Bozdağ urged Kılıçdaroğlu to prove his claims and noted that the opposition leader was hesitant to reveal the content of documents because they are baseless and indicate his fraud and dishonesty.

He noted that Kılıçdaroğlu did not even check the correctness of the documents he was given, and makes false claims based on things that he has not even bothered to verify.

The deputy prime minister also urged Kılıçdaroğlu to announce his sources rather than to keep them as a secret and noted that the opposition leader is a hypocrite who can be easily manipulated by anti-Turkey actors.
