Fenerbahçe defeated Konyaspor 4-2 in the second week of the Turkish Super Lig on Saturday, with Mason Greenwood scoring twice and providing an assist in a dominant attacking display.

Fenerbahçe took the lead in the seventh minute when Marco Asensio's cross found Archie Brown, whose header was saved by Deniz Ertaş. Vedat Muriqi reacted quickest to the rebound and finished from close range.

Konyaspor responded three minutes later. Yhoan Andzouana played a through ball to Ebrima Colley, who fired a right-footed shot into the bottom-left corner to level.

Fenerbahçe regained the lead in the 20th minute after being awarded a penalty for a handball by Adil Demirbağ.

Greenwood saw his spot kick saved by Ertaş but followed up to score the rebound and make it 2-1.

The English forward then turned provider for Fenerbahçe's third goal in the 33rd minute. Greenwood found Asensio inside the penalty area, and the Spanish midfielder produced a composed left-footed finish from a difficult angle.

Fenerbahçe continued to create chances before the half, with Kerem Aktürkoğlu coming close after receiving a through ball from Asensio.

The hosts extended their advantage four minutes after the restart.

Konyaspor lost possession under pressure, and Milan Skriniar played the ball to Muriqi, who immediately found Greenwood. The forward finished with his right foot from inside the area to score his second goal of the match and make it 4-1.

Greenwood, who also scored against Lyon on Tuesday, continued his strong form by contributing two goals and an assist against Konyaspor.

Konyaspor subsequently tested Fenerbahçe goalkeeper Ederson on several occasions, but the Brazilian kept the visitors at bay.

Fenerbahçe came close to scoring a fifth in the 79th minute when Greenwood's effort was blocked after Romelu Lukaku had set him up.

Konyaspor reduced the deficit in the fourth minute of stoppage time.

Blaz Kramer's shot struck the right post, and Deniz Türüç reacted quickest to the rebound to head the ball into the net, making the final score 4-2.

The victory gave Fenerbahçe their first league points of the season following an opening defeat at Genclerbirliği, and came after Tuesday's 1-1 Champions League qualifying draw with Lyon.

Greenwood, meanwhile, continued his impressive start with the Istanbul club ahead of the return leg against the French club.
