Bayern Munich have agreed the sale of midfielder Sebastian Rudy to league rivals Schalke, club chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said on Monday.
"This was the logical step for him," Rummenigge said of the midfielder's transfer at a media event.
Rudy, 28, is still to pass his medical at Schalke but pending formalities will move for a reported 16 million euros (18.6 million dollars).
The Germany international Rudy joined Bayern from Hoffenheim in 2017.
