Israel released 33 Palestinian prisoners late Monday, including 30 children and three women, as part of a swap deal with the Palestinian group Hamas.
Among those released are nine from Jerusalem, including the youngest prisoner, 16-year-old Nofuz Hammad from the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood, who had been sentenced to 12 years in prison, said an Anadolu correspondent.
He added that the remaining 24 prisoners are from various West Bank provinces.
Israel has released 150 Palestinian prisoners from its jails in exchange for Hamas releasing 50 Israeli civilians, all of whom are women and minors.
