Nasrallah: Hezbollah used new weapons on Israel from Lebanon

"Over the past week, an escalation took place in terms of the number of operations and the type of the used weapons, seeing as for the first time we have used suicide drones and the Burkan rockets, which are rockets that weigh 300 to 500 kilograms each," Nasrallah said in a televised speech marking Hezbollah's Martyrs' Day.

The head of the Lebanese Shiite Hezbollah movement, Hassan Nasrallah, said on Saturday that his movement has introduced new weapons to the series of ongoing tit-for-tat attacks in southern Lebanon.

"Drones and Katyushas were shot deep inside the occupied territories and this was required by the nature of the battle," Nasrallah said.

He added that the pressure will continue from Lebanon's front line on the Israeli troops.

He reiterated that he would not tolerate any civilian killings by Israeli retaliatory shelling on Lebanese areas.

Since the brutal surprise attack on Israeli communities by Hamas fighters on October 7 and the outbreak of the war, there have been exchanges of fire on the border between Israel and Lebanon almost every day, with fatalities on both sides.
