The leader of the Pro-Iranian Hezbollah group, Hassan Nasrallah, called on Saturday on nations holding an emergency Arab-Islamic summit in Saudi Arabia, to lift the siege on Gaza.
"The Palestinians have said their word and they are not calling on this Arab-Islamic summit to send armies. They only want the Arab and Islamic world to stand united, shout in the face of the Americans and demand an end to this aggression," Nasrallah said during a ceremony in Beirut to commemorate the movement's martyrs.
"Can't 57 Arab and Muslim countries open the Rafah border crossing?" he asked.
Nasrallah was referring to the meeting in Riyadh on Saturday that joined some 57 nations to discuss the Israel-Hamas war that has been raging for over a month.
Since the brutal surprise attack on Israel by Hamas fighters on October 7 and the outbreak of the war, there have been exchanges of fire on the border between Israel and Lebanon almost every day, with fatalities on both sides.
