Palestinian suffering didn't start on Oct. 7, it has been ongoing for 75 years: PM Shtayyeh

Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh stressed in his comments on Thursday the urgent need for international protection for the Palestinian people, citing ongoing violations of international human rights law and the commission of war crimes amid the Israel-Gaza conflict. Shtayyeh also pointed out: "Palestinian suffering didn't start on Oct. 7, it has been ongoing for 75 years."

"Palestinian people need international protection. What Israel is doing is not a war against Hamas, but against all Palestinians. International human rights law is being violated, and war crimes are being committed," PM Mohammad Shtayyeh stressed in his comments on Thursday.

Shtayyeh also added: "Palestinian suffering didn't start on Oct. 7, it has been ongoing for 75 years."
