The Palestine Red Crescent Society said Wednesday that 187 more aid trucks have entered the besieged Gaza Strip through the Rafah border crossing.

In a statement, it noted that its teams received a total of 187 humanitarian aid trucks from the Egyptian Red Crescent, with 81 on Wednesday and 106 on Thursday, along with five ambulances sent from Kuwait.

It said that despite fuel restrictions, the trucks carried medicines, medical supplies, food, water and relief materials.

A total of 756 aid trucks have reached the Gaza Strip, which is under an Israeli blockade and heavy bombardment.

Following attacks launched by Israel on Oct. 7, the first aid convoy, consisting mainly of medical supplies and food, entered the Gaza Strip from the Rafah border crossing on Oct. 21.

Israel has launched relentless air and ground attacks on the Gaza Strip since the Palestinian resistance group Hamas initiated a cross-border attack on Oct. 7.

At least 10,569 Palestinians have been killed, including 4,324 children and 2,823 women.

The Israeli death toll, meanwhile, is nearly 1,600, according to official figures.
