At least two Palestinians were killed and several others wounded during an Israeli military operation in the West Bank city of Jenin, the Palestinian Ministry of Health said Thursday.

The latest casualties bring the number of Palestinians killed in the West Bank in clashes with troops or Jewish settlers to 136 since Oct. 7.

According to a statement received by Anadolu, Suleiman Muhammad Setiti and Jihad Ibrahim Mustafa Nagangiyah were shot dead by Israeli forces in Jenin, while several others who were wounded were transferred to Ibn Sina Specialist Hospital.

Israeli forces have been conducting nightly military raids on cities and refugee camps in the West Bank, during which over 1,900 Palestinians have been detained.

The Israeli military has expanded its air and ground attacks in Gaza, which has been under relentless airstrikes since the Palestinian group Hamas launched a cross-border attack on Oct. 7.

Nearly 10,600 people have since been killed in the conflict, including at least 9,061 Palestinians.
