During an interview with Al Jazeera, former Israeli Member of Parliament Moshe Feiglin controversially expressed the view that the Gaza Strip should be obliterated as a means to address the crisis in the region.
Feiglin said: "Gaza must be completely razed prior to any invasion, and this should occur without resorting to nuclear weapons, similar to the bombings of Dresden and Hiroshima."
Feiglin stressed in his offensive remarks that it has been 18 days since the operation initiated by the Izzeddin Al-Qassam Brigades, and he added, "According to biblical beliefs, we have not exacted retribution; we have not turned Gaza into ashes immediately."
