The Israeli army's ongoing violent attacks on the Gaza Strip, which has been under blockade since October 7, along with the complete loss of communication with the region and fears of an imminent ground operation that could lead to a further civilian massacre, have sparked reactions worldwide.

In Gaza, plunged into darkness due to electricity cuts and fuel entry restrictions, the frequent bombings light up the sky, and the global outcry against Israel continues to grow.

United Nations (UN) Secretary-General Antonio Guterres expressed his deep concern, stating, "Unless there is a fundamental change, the people of Gaza will face an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe."

In his written statement, Guterres described the situation in Gaza as increasingly dire, saying, "The suffering is escalating with each passing minute. Unless there is a radical change, the people of Gaza will face an unprecedented avalanche of humanitarian suffering."

He emphasized the gravity of the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and the urgent need for action, stating, "Everyone must fulfill their responsibility. This is a moment of reckoning. History is judging us all."

Guterres further highlighted that as Israel's bombardment intensifies, the humanitarian situation in Gaza deteriorates, leading to "increasingly critical and massive" needs. He warned, "The humanitarian system in Gaza is on the brink of complete collapse, which will have unimaginable consequences for over 2 million civilians."
