Israeli journalist expresses outrage during a live broadcast, she weeps for the people of Gaza: "Why is everyone silent about the massacre?"
In front of the entire world, Israel is committing one of the bloodiest genocides in its history.
Israel is killing all civilians, regardless of age, gender, or whether they are babies, and destroying settlements. In 18 days, Israel has taken the lives of over 5,000 innocent people.
While the United States, instead of stopping this massacre, says, "We stand with Israel," and the mainstream Western media uses language that tries to cover up and normalize the massacre, one of the voices rising against Israel's atrocities has captured the attention of social media.
Israeli journalist Amira Hass, who works for the Israeli newspaper Haaretz, used powerful expressions for the people of Gaza during a live broadcast in the United States on Democracy Now. Hass stated her condemnation for the civilian massacre.
"I can't find words to describe the horror my friends in Gaza are experiencing," said Hass, using the words, "Israel is clearly committing a massacre."
The Israeli journalist claimed that the United States is fueling this massacre and emphasized that no Western country is taking action to force Israel to stop this brutality.
Hass stated that the ongoing genocide plan was put into motion in 2017. "In 2017, Israel officially announced its plan for the Palestinian people. The first part of this plan was to tell the Palestinians, 'Surrender to us completely, give up your homes and your homeland, if you do this, you will never truly be free. You will not have citizenship rights, and you will silently live as 5th or 6th class people in Israel.'
Your second option is to completely leave this place. You will migrate somewhere else. If you do not accept these, we will implement the third option. In other words, the Israeli army will take control. If you do not surrender, if you do not migrate, and if you resist, the Israeli army knows what it will do to you." Hass said that the occupying Israel has been planning this for a long time.
Expressing her outrage at the silence of Western countries as the people of Gaza are subjected to genocide, Hass asked, "How can they stand aside without doing anything to stop this horrendous massacre?" She added, "I cannot even bear to sit here and talk while over 2 million people in Gaza are suffering. Nothing can justify what is happening there." The Israeli journalist could not hold back her tears.
"My taxes were used to kill another Palestinian in Gaza. There is truly no word that can explain this," he said.
