The Turkish Red Crescent on Sunday distributed clothing in southeastern Macedonia.

The ceremony at Bucim village in Radovis municipality was held in collaboration with the Macedonian Red Cross.

Ismail Hakkı Turunç, vice-president of Turkish Red Crescent, Macedonian Ministry of Education and Science Undersecretary Enver Huseyin and representatives from some Turkish NGOs attended the ceremony.

Turunç told Anadolu Agency that the Turkish Red Crescent has always sought to extend a helping hand to needy people across the world.
"The packets containing more than 6,000 clothing items such as shoes, t-shirts, trousers, sweaters and coats for each age group were sent on a truck," he said.

Turunc, who has participated in humanitarian work for 40 years, said Bucim was a Turkish village and Turkey would never ignore the people sharing the same belief and values.

Vanco Kotsev, the representative of Macedonian Red Cross, thanked "friends at Turkish Red Crescent".
