Şahika Ercümen made a dive for Gaza
Off the coast of Hidayet Bay, Şahika, the world record holder in diving and a United Nations "Life Below Water" advocate, achieved a new milestone by diving 107 meters deep in a single breath.

Diving under the slogan "Let Gaza breathe, let the darkness come to light," Şahika improved her own record by reaching a depth of 107 meters in 3 minutes and 21 seconds in the constant weight without fins category, surpassing her previous record of 106 meters.
After emerging from the water, Turkish and Palestinian flags were unfurled by Şahika Ercümen.
