The third plane targeted the Pentagon near Washington. All 64 people on board and 125 people in the building at the time lost their lives.
The fourth plane was intended to target one of the federal buildings in the U.S. capital, Washington. It was later revealed through a confession that the plane was heading towards the Congress building, one of the most critical points in the U.S.
Due to a struggle with passengers, the plane did not reach Congress and crashed into an empty field in Pennsylvania. There were no survivors among the 44 people on the last plane.
