Orphaned baby animals teach kids love for wildlife in Antalya Park
At the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Natural Life Park, young animals separated early from their mothers are used to instill a love for animals in children.

Park Director Aygül Arsun informed journalists about the baby animals and their care processes at the zoo.
She mentioned that two baby squirrels were found at the bus terminal, but unfortunately one died on the day it arrived due to early separation from its mother.
The surviving squirrel, "Alex," is now 33 days old and starting solid foods, with the veterinary team providing daily care.
Arsun also shared that the raccoon baby "Venus" was rejected by her mother, the fox cub "Latte" was found on the roadside, and the lovebird chick "Çakıl" had a difficult hatching process.
All babies are being raised with motherly care by the park team.
These young animals will be used in educational programs to raise awareness among children.
"We will introduce the animals we hand-raised to the children, allowing them to interact with them directly as part of our environmental and animal awareness education," said Arsun.
She also advised against intervening immediately upon encountering baby animals in nature, as the mother might have temporarily left the area.
She emphasized the importance of observing the situation first, and if the mother doesn't return for a long time, the animal should then be handed over to Nature Conservation and National Parks teams.
Arsun added that children can visit the Natural Life Park for free with their families on April 23.
