Two Palestinian attackers killed four Israelis and wounded four others near an Israeli settlement in the West Bank on Tuesday. They opened fire on a petrol station and a neighboring restaurant not far from Eli. Both attackers were subsequently killed.
Since the beginning of the year, 133 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli military operations, confrontations or following attacks of their own.
In the same period, 22 Israelis, one Ukrainian and one Italian were killed in attacks.
Israel has occupied the West Bank and East Jerusalem since the 1967 Six-Day War. Palestinians claim the territories for their own state.
