Heavy monsoon floods kill nine in West Bengal, India
At least nine people have died due to heavy monsoon rains in the eastern Indian state of West Bengal, disrupting air and rail transportation.

Officials announced on Tuesday that nine people died from electric shocks and drowning caused by severe flooding in Kolkata, the state capital, and its surrounding suburbs.
This information was reported by public broadcaster All India Radio. "According to the latest reports, many areas in and around Kolkata remain submerged, and more rain is expected in the coming hours," the statement said.
