These doors, sometimes reduced to little more than a single frame standing amid buildings destroyed or heavily damaged in the bombardments, have become symbolic thresholds to lost homes, children left orphaned and fragmented stories.
According to an analysis by the United Nations Satellite Centre (UNOSAT), around 201,290 buildings were damaged in Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip between October 2023 and June 2026.
