According to the information obtained from the security sources of Türkiye, the MIT, the National Intelligence Organization, received the intelligence that the terrorist code-named Abu Hussein al-Huseyni al-Kureshi, who is the so-called new caliph of Daesh and was determined to move frequently, is in Afrin/Cinderes in the north of Syria and will relocate soon.
The special team carried out a covert operation on the terrorist's house on April 29, 2023.
In the operation to the house, which also has a camouflaged underground bunker, a call to "surrender" was made to Abu Husayn al-Husayni al-Qurayshi, but no response was received.
So, MIT's special operations team broke into the building by first blasting the garden wall of the house, then the rear entrance doors and side walls.
When Abu Husayn al-Husayni al-Qurayshi realized that he would be caught, he detonated his suicide vest.
It was reported that the MIT special operations team and civilians were not harmed in the operation, which lasted about four hours.
Abu Hussein Al Huseyni Al Qureshi, who joined the terrorist organization Daesh in 2013, rose to senior positions within the organization in a short time.
Abu Hussein al-Husayni al-Qurayshi was declared the so-called new caliph on November 30, 2022, after the murder of the previous leader of Daesh, Abu Hasan al-Qurayshi.
