Extensive destruction caused by massive Japan earthquake becomes more apparent
In the earthquakes that occurred in the Ishikawa province in western Japan and along the coast of the Noto Peninsula in this region, 48 people lost their lives.

According to the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA), numerous earthquakes with magnitudes ranging from 5 to 7 occurred yesterday in the Noto Peninsula and offshore of Ishikawa in the west.
At 10:17 local time, another earthquake with a magnitude of 5.6 was recorded on the coast of the Noto Peninsula.
In its statement regarding the tsunami, the JMA announced that tsunami warnings had been lifted for the entire region, including the coasts of Ishikawa.
Following the earthquakes, there were reports of collapses on highways, and it was reported that nearly 200 structures in the Wajima city of the Noto Peninsula were damaged in a fire that broke out.
It was reported that the fire was brought under control in the morning.
In footage belonging to the state television NHK, a 7-story building in Wajima was seen leaning.
The Ishikawa Prefectural Government announced that 48 people lost their lives in the region following the earthquakes.
Upon the request of the Prefectural Government, 1000 personnel from the Japan Self-Defense Forces were dispatched to the region for search and rescue operations.
It was determined that nearly 50,000 people were evacuated in the region, and 14 people were identified as waiting to be rescued from the debris at different points.
It was reported that there were power outages in 19 medical facilities throughout the prefecture, and shelves containing products in supermarkets and grocery stores were seen emptied.
