Devastating effect of February earthquakes seen in satellite images
In Türkiye's Hatay, one of the provinces where Kahramanmaraş-centered earthquakes are felt the most, the devastating effect of the earthquake was reflected in satellite images.

Satellite images taken in January, February and April were reflecting the impact of the disaster that took thousands of lives off the map.
After the 7.7 and 7.6 magnitude earthquakes in Kahramanmaraş that occurred on February 6, efforts are being made to heal the wounds in the region.
The earthquakes, in which more than 50 thousand people died and thousands were injured, affected 11 provinces. Thousands of structures suffered light, moderate and heavy damage.
Tent and container cities were established in the provinces affected by the earthquake after the debris removal works. Construction of the buildings began quickly. Completed buildings are handed over to their owners.
Many workplaces are aslo getting prepared at full speed for the tradesmen to open their shutters again.
Satellite images reveal the impact of the devastation
Hatay was one of the cities where the earthquakes that took place on February 6 caused the most destruction.
When looking at the images before and after the earthquake, the size of the debris can be seen.
When we look at the months of December last year and February and April this year, it was reflected in the satellite images that many buildings affected by the earthquake in Hatay were destroyed.
