The plane carrying Sisi and his delegation landed at Esenboğa Airport, where Erdoğan was joined by Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Ankara Governor Vasip Şahin, and other officials for the reception.
After a brief meeting in the airport's VIP lounge, Erdoğan and Sisi traveled together to the Presidential Complex.
Mounted guards escorted their vehicle to the protocol entrance, and a 21-gun salute accompanied the playing of national anthems as they took their places at the ceremony.
President el-Sisi then saluted the Honor Guard, and flags representing 16 historical Turkish states were displayed. Erdoğan and el-Sisi posed for photos with the flags of Türkiye and Egypt on the stairs, shaking hands before the press.
