Turkish-made fighter jet KAAN's first flight makes headlines in global media

Greek state television ERT shared the first flight footage of KAAN and described its technical specifications.

The Pentapostagma newspaper reported that KAAN can fly in all weather conditions and announced its first flight as 'taking on an important role in the Turkish Air Force.'

Elefteros Typos newspaper highlighted Türkiye's achievement in becoming one of the few countries producing fifth-generation warplanes.

Report information agency claimed that Ukraine requested KAAN fighter jets from Türkiye.

German media highlighted Türkiye's increasing efforts towards self-sufficiency in modern warplane production, considering it a historic milestone for the rapidly growing defense industry.

The Flugrevue aviation site described KAAN as Türkiye's beacon of hope and its new fighter jet in the sky. The successful first flight of the Turkish national combat aircraft with its secret features was reported.

It was noted that KAAN, expected to be the flagship of the Turkish Air Force in the future, flew for 13 minutes, reaching an altitude of 2440 meters and a speed of 425 km/h.

The Frankfurter Allgemeine newspaper reported in its article titled "Türkiye presents KAAN" that Türkiye's first domestically produced fighter aircraft successfully completed its first flight.
