Turkish Defense Ministry slams Israel over 1915 Decision, Syria attacks
The Turkish National Defense Ministry's weekly press briefing was held today at the Ay Yildiz Headquarters for the first time. Reacting to Israel's decision to recognize the 1915 incidents as the so-called "Armenian genocide," officials said, "The political decision they adopted regarding the 1915 events is nothing more than an attempt to cover up their own crimes."

Within the last week, seven PKK terrorists surrendered. In the same period, 331 people, including four members of a terrorist organization, were caught trying to cross the borders illegally, while 844 others were prevented from crossing.
Since Jan. 1, the number of people caught attempting to cross Türkiye's borders illegally has reached 5,299, while 40,134 people have been prevented from crossing.
At the Ay Yildiz Joint Headquarters, a reception will be hosted on July 7-8 in Ankara for visiting defense ministers and senior NATO representatives as part of the NATO Heads of State and Government Summit.
The NATO Summit to be held in Türkiye will be an important platform that reaffirms the alliance's unwavering commitment to collective defense, strengthens its adaptation to the changing security environment and its shared deterrence concept, and shapes its future strategic direction. It will also once again demonstrate Türkiye's position in the international security architecture and its strategic role within the alliance.
