In 2022, many milestones were reached, and the Turkish defense industry began gaining recognition not only in the country but also worldwide, with its products in land, sea, and air systems.
Foreign press frequently highlights the innovations in the Turkish defense industry. Greece is among those closely following the developments in Türkiye.
A Cypriot analyst speaking to a Greek channel claimed that Türkiye is attempting to seize Greece's Exclusive Economic Zone.
Analyst Yannos Charalambidis Simerini said, "Türkiye has various plans for the coasts of Anatolia."
Pentapostagma, which reported Simerini's claims, pointed to the Tayfun Ballistic Missile, produced by ROKETSAN and widely acclaimed globally, as the reason behind these allegations.
The news outlet stated, "There are new developments regarding Türkiye's longest-range missile, Tayfun. According to ROKETSAN's statements, there will be very positive news about Tayfun."
According to the newspaper's analysis, Türkiye has various plans in the Eastern Mediterranean, making the summer of 2023 the "hottest summer" since 1974.
Furthermore, Pentapostagma drew attention to Türkiye's unmanned vehicles, stating, "Türkiye plans to establish bases with unmanned boats and mini submarines opposite Greek islands and could even strike Greek infrastructure without any humans present."
However, it should be noted that the Tayfun ballistic missile and unmanned vehicles are not developed for the occupation of Greek islands, as claimed by Greece. The disagreements between Türkiye and Greece stem from Greece's unlawful violations over the years.
