Organized by the T3 Foundation and Bilişim Vadisi (Informatics Valley) in the Bilişim Vadisi İzmir garden, the competition features 26 teams that reached the final.
Participants are required to use unmanned ground vehicles to autonomously process soil in a simulated agricultural field to a depth of 5 centimeters, without damaging the plant rows, and to detect weeds.
Teams will earn points based on their performance in processing the soil and identifying weeds within the given time.
The competition aims to improve agricultural efficiency through ground robots and promote the use of autonomous vehicles in the sector.
The top three teams will receive prizes of 100,000, 80,000, and 60,000 Turkish lira, respectively.
Bilişim Vadisi General Manager Erkam Tüzgen highlighted that TEKNOFEST helps students develop and implement their own projects before entering the workforce.
