In the coastal area of Dalyan village, where the ancient harbor of Alexandria Troas is located, conscious locals protect the blooming sea daffodils by surrounding them with wire fences.
Informative signs are placed inside the fenced areas to educate visitors about the plant and prevent damage.
Those who pick sea daffodils face a fine of 557,212 lira under the Environmental Law.
