'Mawlid Al-Nabi' celebrates across Türkiye

Special programs were held in Istanbul's mosques, featuring prayers and recitations.
In commemoration of the birth of the final prophet on the 12th of Rabi' al-Awwal according to the Islamic calendar, mosques across the city—including Ayasofya-i Kebir Mosque, Sultanahmet, Fatih, Süleymaniye, Eyüp Sultan, Büyük Çamlıca, Kariye, and Barbaros Hayrettin Paşa—hosted special events.
Worshippers gathered in mosques to pray and offer supplications for the Islamic world and Türkiye.
At Fatih Mosque, the evening program featured Quran recitations after the evening prayer.
The Mawlid program at Sultanahmet Mosque saw a significant turnout from the public.
In Edirne, candle programs were conducted in mosques including Selimiye, Eski, and Üç Şerefeli, where attendees experienced the spiritual atmosphere through prayers and Quranic recitations.
In Kırklareli, Mawlid Al-Nabi programs were held at local mosques.
At Hızırbey Mosque, the first Ottoman heritage in Thrace, attendees raised their hands in prayer during the evening prayer.
In Ankara, the Mawlid program at Kocatepe Mosque included recitations of the Quran and hymns, as well as prayers.
Similar programs were held in mosques in Erzurum, Ağrı, Ardahan, Erzincan, and Tunceli.
In Erzurum, mosques began filling up from the evening, with congregants at historic Ulu Mosque, Lalapaşa Mosque, and Muratpaşa Mosque engaging in prayers and supplications. Various treats were offered to the attendees as they left the mosque.
