Heatwave warning from Meteorology: Thermometers will reach 46 degrees
After the influence of the "Eyyam-ı Bahur" heatwaves subsided, the cooling air warmed up again with a new heatwave coming from the Basra Gulf. This Basra heatwave is expected to cause temperatures to reach around 45 degrees in certain regions of Türkiye for a week.

Over the course of a week with the Basra heatwave, the temperatures in the three major cities will be as follows: 33-38 degrees in Ankara, 28-29 degrees in Istanbul, and 32-34 degrees in Izmir. The wind coming from the North East will continue in the Marmara region. The wind speed will be around 80 kilometers per hour today, and 70 kilometers per hour on both tomorrow and Wednesday.
Throughout a week, the Inner Aegean, Mediterranean, Inner Anatolia, western parts of the Black Sea, Central and Eastern Black Sea regions, as well as Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia, are expected to experience temperatures 6 to 10 degrees higher than the seasonal norms.
In earthquake-prone areas, the heatwave is projected to reach 45 degrees.
Temperatures will reach 38-45 degrees in Kahramanmaraş.
Temperatures will reach 36-42 degrees in Hatay, 38-45 degrees in Osmaniye, 43-44 degrees in Diyarbakır, 41-45 degrees in Şanlıurfa, 39-43 degrees in Gaziantep, and 43-45 degrees in Batman.
