Devastating earthquake splits Turkish village in half
The damage caused by the Kahramanmaraş earthquakes to the villages was revealed with aerial images.

In Gaziantep's Gökçedere village, crevices were seen in the cemetery as well as in the houses and on roads.
Nuri Cihan, who was born and raised in Gökçedere village, explained that the villagers tried to close the crevices with tractors and shovels.
Fault fractures caused rifts in the cemetery, damage to some graves and fragmentation of stones.
While the villagers were evacuating their houses, it was seen that they tried to repair the damage in the cemetery with their own means.
"The rifts formed on the morning of the earthquake. When the earthquake began, we thought that the apocalypse would break out. We tried to escape with the children. On the one hand, it was raining, we were trying to understand what had happened. When we realized that there was an earthquake, we tried to go out. We tried to get people out from the rubble." Nuri Cihan said.
''Everyone brought some of their tractors and some of their buckets with their own means. The road had collapsed and the traffic here was opened." Nuri Cihan added.
''We also tried to fix the graves as best we could. The crevices were a little more open due to the rain, but over time, aftershocks began to close them.'' he said.
